“Oh give me a park, where the doggies can bark…” is the tune now being sung in at least one novel park in America. Hopefully, more will follow!

Centerville Dog Park, Centerville, Virginia, recently held its opening day to the applause of over 70 care givers and the wagging tails of appreciative canines.

Free to the public, dusk ‘til dawn, it sports a 65,000 square foot facility surrounded by a vinyl-clad chain link fence, 5 ½-feet high ; ½ acre of leash-less, running space for larger dogs, and another ½ acre for unrestrained frolicking by smaller dogs.

Read the details, visions of the group who made the first people-must-be-accompanied-by-a-canine park possible, and the grateful appreciation expressed by pet owners interviewed at the event >>>>
