One of the more common problems plaguing dogs is getting an eye infection. Your dog’s eyes are delicate organs and adequate attention should be paid to cleaning and caring for his eyes.
Although lids, lashes and tears are natural forms of protection, they are sometimes not adequate against the dust and dirt that can get into your dog’s eyes.
Dogs can be susceptible to conjunctivitis, a bacterial infection which affects the thin membrane covering the front of the eye called the conjunctiva. It causes redness and dryness in the eye or eyes.

The Australian Terrier is a smaller dog well suited to apartment or country living. She requires plenty of exercise and a properly fenced in yard would be ideal. She has excellent hearing and makes a great watchdog.
She is good with older children. Very young children may not be appropriate for her. She may chase cats and small animals but generally gets along with the household pets but needs early socialization. She trains easily and is highly intelligent.

Akita Puppy and Dog Information

The Akita is a powerful, alert, large dog with a heavy build that can remind you of a bear. She does not need a tremendous amount of exercise and may even be suitable for an apartment if one is willing to enjoy daily vigorous walks with her. A properly fenced yard for exercise is preferable.
She is good with the kids in her adopted family but she may not take to your kids friends, which scares me when you consider her size and potential for harm.
