Coltrane joined us at 7 weeks old to keep our 12 year old Golden Retriever, Nicki, company. He immediately fell in love, following her everywhere and trying to cuddle with her whenever possible (eventually Nicki gave in).

We thought it would be cute to teach Coltrane to play fetch, after all, he is a Labrador. Little did we know that we would be creating a fanatic. He is now almost three years old, and his passions include playing ball, swimming, playing ball, and playing more ball.

We found Marley at the Sacramento SPCA. Little did we know that his personality would match his namesake so well.

He is one cool cat.

Most of the time he is happy sleeping on his soft bed or sunning himself on the grass, surveying his yard.

But one of his favorite past times is also barking at the neighbor’s horses. Marley tries to fool you into thinking he does not have much upstairs, but he is extremely intelligent. To our chagrin, he knows how to open doors and gates, which keeps us on our toes.

Stevie Ray was a rescue who joined our family at 3 ½ months old.

He was the quintessential Golden – happy, affectionate, playful, and completely devoted. We immediately fell in love with him.

At two years old, he has become a passionate ball dog, swimmer, and fierce delivery truck chaser. He frequently entertains us with his enthusiastic tail wagging and happy wiggle dances (favorite toy in mouth, of course).
